What We do
Who Are We?TAAR is a primarily volunteer-driven organization that welcomes animals to rescue from unfortunate situations and houses them in volunteer foster homes while preparing them for adoption placement. We focus on evaluating each animal's needs, provide high quality veterinary care, and work towards finding them a life long match with an adoption placement. We strive to educate our community on the importance of rescue, our specific rescue efforts, responsible pet ownership, and the difference each person can make on the lives of animals in need.
How Is The Adoption Fee Set?TAAR adoption fees go back to funding our rescue mission. We take in several sick and injured animals and provide excellent care to our rescue animals. We often have very large vet bills as a result. Our only income is from adoption fees and fundraisers. We also have business expenses including insurance, supplies, boarding, gas, etc.. Our adoption fees are listed under each animal's profile.
*Each of our animals are evaluated by a veterinarian and are brought up-to-date on preventative care including: *Spay or Neuter (if needed) *Dental Cleanings (as needed) *Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo combo, Bordetella) *Heartworm Test (age appropriate) *Heartworm Preventative *Deworming *Flea/Tick Preventative *All Cats are Leukemia/FIV Tested |
